Purpose / Role
To support & execute engineering work of project, or assigned to site to execute the site management of electrical work.

Prime responsibilities and duties

1. Undertake the electrical engineering work independently, Concept design, FEED, BED or DED (at requirement) of a plant or a facility.
2. Preparation of electrical design deliverables including Layout drawings, specifications, detail drawings, schedules, diagrams to enable procurement, supply, fabrication, installation and construction to take place.
3. Undertake the electrical construction supervision work or site management work at requirement. (for PMC or EPCm Project)
4. To supervise the discipline design group of CDI in order to achieve the project objectives in terms of profit, quality, safety and schedule. (for PMC or EPCm Project
5. To plan and organize the work of the electrical engineers and designers of CDI and to review/interview CDI resources in order to timely complete all deliverables for the discipline with high quality and cost effective design. (for PMC or EPCm Project)
6. Perform works to the Company Procedures, specifications, standards and any project specific addenda;
7. To prepare & review the Electrical design criteria and necessary control documents based on project execution plan prior to commencement of any engineering or design activities.
8. To prepare/ review TBA’s and to attend vendor technical clarification meetings when necessary.
9. To provide technical assistance to the project construction team at requirement (e.g. bidder evaluation, definition of the scope of work, technical requirements and etc.)
10. To provide discipline input to the Project Manager E&P on aspects of identifying changes of the scope of work and preparing related change orders
11. To maintain good interface with other disciplines.

Core competencies

Essential Competence:

1. University Degree of Electrical engineering
2. 8 years of electrical design experience in the Design Institute minimum,
3. Familiar with local and international Electrical practices and standard
4. Familiar with local market of electrical equipment
5. Experience of using discipline software for the help of engineering work
6. Good written and spoken English
   1/ Design of Electrical Systems for Hazardous Areas
   2/ Design of electrical systems with large UPS and Emergency Backup Systems
   3 /Design of Electrical Systems for Process Plants which have Large Motors / Large Variable Speed Drives / Large Electrical Heaters
   4/ Familiar with specifying switchgear, motors, transformers, cables, VFD's, UPS and have sufficient knowledge to purchase this equipment and review the documentation.
   5/ Familiar and understand the interface required between a Process Control Plant Switchboard and a DCS / ESD system
   6/ Knowledge of the work done by other engineering disciplines such as piping / civil / equipment / instrumentation / process and have awareness of the interface information that would need to be exchanged with these other specialist disciplines during the course of a project.
   7/ Have experience of working with Power System Analysis Software for Load Flow / Short Circuit.

Desirable Competence:

1. Experience with international project or engineering company Client is preferred.
2. With Site experience is preferred
3. Good teamwork player
4. Petrochemical or chemical plant experience is preferred
