Purpose / Role
To support & execute Engineering or Engineering Management work of project.
Support for project schedule and quality control, discipline resource estimate.
Develop and optimization of process, mechanical, equipment layout design to meet client requirement.
Coordinate with other disciplines, Client, supervise local design institute's Detail Engineering work.
Prime responsibilities and duties
- Undertake the chemical equipment design work independently, FEED, BED or DED (at requirement) of a plant or a facility.
- To prepare or review chemical equipment design criteria and necessary control documents based on project execution plan prior to commencement of any engineering or design activities.
- Undertake the chemical equipment fabrication supervision work or site management work at requirement. (for PMC or EPCm Project)
- To provide technical direction and supervise the discipline design group of CDI in order to achieve the project objectives in terms of profit, quality, safety and schedule. (for PMC or EPCm Project)
- Proposal technical support, such as schematics, manhour estimation or work quantity estimation. (at requirement).
- Perform works to the Company Procedures, specifications, standards and any project specific addenda;
- To comply with the project instructions and company safety procedures;
- To arrange for the preparation of design deliverables including datasheet, engineering drawings, schedules, diagrams to enable procurement, supply, fabrication, installation and construction to take place.
- To prepare/ review MR, TBA and to attend vendor technical clarification meetings when necessary.
- To provide technical assistance to the project construction team at requirement (e.g. subcontract evaluation, definition of the scope of work, construction schematics etc.)
- To provide discipline input to the Project Manager E&P on aspects of identifying changes of the scope of work and preparing related change orders
- To maintain good interface with other disciplines. Maintain good relation with client.
- Coordinate with local authority and permitting support if necessary.

Core competencies
Essential Skills
1. University Degree of Chemical Equipment and related specialty, with experience of chemical equipment design. At least 10 years Petrochemical, Chemical or Coal- chemical projects working experience.
2. Familiar with design procedure and cooperation with other discipline.
3. Familiar with engineering deliverable at different stage of project, and depth requirement.
4. Familiar with SW6 calculation software for engineering work
5. Familiar with local and international engineering Code and standard, regulations and implementation.
6. Experience in dealing with offshore clients and international projects is preferred.
7. Previous CDI working experience will be an advantage.
8. Good responsibility, good teamwork spirit
9. Good written and spoken English, intercommunication skill.
