Purpose / Role

To support & execute engineering / process design work of project.
Support for project schedule and quality control, discipline resource estimate.
Develop and optimization of process design to meet client requirement.
Coordinate with other disciplines, client, supervise local design institute’s detail engineering work.

Prime responsibilities and duties

1. Undertake the process engineering work independently, FEED, BED or DED (at requirement) of a plant or a facility.
2. Undertake the process construction supervision work or site management work at requirement (for PMC or EPCm project).
3. To provide engineering technical direction to CDI and monitor CDI engineering quality (for PMC or EPCm project).
4. To supervise the discipline design group of CDI in order to achieve the project objectives in terms of profit, quality, safety and schedule (for PMC or EPCm project).
5. Proposal technical support, such as schematics, manhour estimation or work quantity estimation (at requirement).
6. Perform works to the company procedures, specifications, standards and any project specific addenda.
7. To prepare or review process design criteria and necessary control documents based on project execution plan prior to commencement of any engineering or design activities.
8. To arrange for the preparation of process design deliverables including PID, datasheet, detail drawings, schedules, diagrams to enable procurement, supply, fabrication, installation and construction to take place.
9. To prepare/ review MR, TBA and to attend vendor technical clarification meetings when necessary.
10. To provide technical assistance to the project construction team at requirement (e.g. subcontract evaluation, definition of the scope of work, construction schematics etc.)
11. To maintain good interfacing with other disciplines.

Core competencies

Essential Competence:

1. University degree of chemical engineering, at least 8 years petrochemical, chemical or coal- chemical projects working experience.
   
2. Strong experience and technical background for process design, familiar with design procedure and cooperation with other discipline.
   
3. Familiar with engineering deliverable at different stage of project, and depth requirement.
   
4. Experience of using simulation and calculation software for the help of engineering work
   
5. Familiar with local and international engineering code and standard, regulations, and its implementation.
   
6. Experience with international projects or offshore client is preferred.
   
7. Good responsibility, good teamwork spirit
   
8. Good written and spoken English.
