Purpose / Role

·Support & execute Engineering or Engineering Management work of project.
·Mechanical selection to meet process requirements, HSE, relevant code & standard or client requirements.
·Coordinate with other disciplines, Client, and other project stakeholder.
·Supervise local design institute’s Detail Engineering work.

Prime responsibilities and duties

1. Undertake engineering and design work independently, i.e. FEED, BED (or DED at requirement).
2. Accomplish tasks to the Company Procedures, specifications, standards and any project specific addenda;
3. To prepare or review Mechanical (Package) Specification and necessary control documents based on project execution plan prior to commencement of any engineering or design activities.
4. Preparation of design deliverables including datasheet, mechanical specification, schedules, diagrams to enable procurement, supply, fabrication, installation and construction to take place.
5. To prepare/ review MR, TBA and organize vendor technical clarification meetings.
6. Undertake the factory supervision work or site supervision work at requirement.
7. To supervise the discipline design group of CDI in order to achieve the project objectives in terms of profit, quality, safety and schedule. (for PMC or EPCm Project)
8. Technical support to Proposal, such as schematics, manhour estimation or work quantity estimation.
9. To provide technical assistance to the project construction team at requirement (e.g. subcontract evaluation, scope definition, construction schematics etc.)
10. To maintain good interface with other disciplines.

Core competencies

Essential Skills

1. University Degree of Chemical Equipment and related specialty.
2. Over 8 years Petrochemical, Chemical or similar projects working experience.
3. Familiar with selection and technical requirement of general machine including different type of pump, compressor, conveyer, package device, etc.
4. Familiar with local and international codes and standards, regulations and implementations.
5. Familiar with design procedure and cooperation with other discipline.
6. Familiar with engineering deliverables and depth requirements at different stage of project.
7. Familiar with market and vendors for each type of equipment. 
8. Previous CDI working experience will be an advantage.
9. Good responsibility, good teamwork spirit.
10. Good written and spoken English, intercommunication skill
