Purpose / Role
· Procure the material per specification and schedule at lower cost.
· Following the corporate purchasing procedures to maximize the purchase qualities and commercial advantages.
Key aims and objectives
· Procure the material from right vendors per specification and under the support of the engineering.
· Corporate with client as the project purchasing function to ensure the purchasing work meet the project requirement.
Prime responsibilities and duties
· CONVERO purchasing operation and vendor management.
· Ensure Good Business Practices are maintained throughout the Purchasing cycle, including all relevant HSE/Codes of practice/Regulatory requirements/ethics.
· Maintain Market Intelligence information to the corporate advantage.
· Ensure international trade knowledge and China knowledge are incorporated into the purchasing activities.
· Ensure company and project procedures are to be followed.
· Understanding of CONVERO system prior to commencement if required.
· Prepare and formulate a qualified Bidder/Vendor list for Corporate and select the project level bidders.
· Expediting and check the material requisition.
· Under PPM direction agree and adopt the negotiation strategies leading to final vendor selection.
· Prepare / review the commercial PO document
· Maintain a professional active role in all aspects of the corporate purchasing business by innovative and proactive means.
· Good communication skills and an innovative outlook
· Maintain a strong and communicative position in the Market place with continuing update of source of supply information.
· Ability to 'multi-task' in a Management position.
· Good negotiation skills at all levels.
· Wide ranging and proven experience of all aspects of the Purchasing function.
· Prepare the project purchasing execution plan.
· Resolving of the disputes with the suppliers.
· Issue project purchasing report per request.
