Responsible for (Line): Material Controllers, Logistics Coordinators.
Purpose / Role
· Using CONVERO system to setup and maintain the records of the materials and issue all necessary forms and reports.
· Lead the project material control team to control the material schedule and quantities with engineering, procurement and construction.
· Develop and implement CONVERO materials management techniques which address the above objectives
· Training and development, in order to provide the Company with an efficient and professional Materials Management capability.
Key aims and objectives
· Ensure the correct quantities of the materials are procured and allocated to the site.
· Dynamic managing and identifying the requisition, purchasing and the shortage and/or excessive surplus.
· The correct and safe storage of different types of equipment and materials.
· Ensure the project related staffs are been trained for CONVERO material system.
Prime responsibilities and duties
· Provide clear definition of the objectives of Materials Management within AMEC and in the interfaces with clients.
· Ensure that all techniques are supported by adequate computerised systems which are designed and applied in an efficient and user-friendly fashion.
· Ensure efficient interfaces with Cost Control, Engineering, Planning and Construction functions and maintain good communications with these related Departments.
· Coordinate field need dates with crafts and planning.
· Update the status of engineering requisition.
· Update the status of purchasing.
· Update the status of vendor delivery.
· Update the status of warehouse receiving.
· Update the status of the construction request date.
· field shortages on a daily basis.
· Spot check engineering Bills of Materials for take-off accuracy.
· Issue the report per request.
· Over 15 years project experience and more than 5 years in project material control
· 1 project material control lead role at least

Core competencies
