Purpose / Role
Provide good quality design to meet client requirement in coal handling area.
Support project manager to take the responsibility of engineering and engineering management work of the project.
Coordinate with client, design institute & other discipline.

Prime responsibilities and duties
1. Undertake the design work independently especially in coal handling at each stage including Concept design, FSR, FEED, BED & DED according to project requirement.
2. Communicate with other discipline and do the preparation to get downstream discipline to initiate. The work includes develop PFD, P&ID, equipment data sheet, etc.
3. Perform the basic calculations by computer software or hand calculation, normally covers Material balance, heat transfer, hydraulic calculation, etc.
4. To prepare/ review MR, TBA and to attend vendor technical clarification meetings when necessary.
5. To provide technical assistance to the project construction team at requirement (e.g. subcontract evaluation, definition of the scope of work, construction schematics etc.) 6. Conform to the company procedure and project specification.
7. Proposal technical support, such as schematics, manhour estimation or work quantity estimation. (at requirement).
8. Provide technical direction to design institute and supervise their engineering quality for EPCm and PMC project.

Core competencies

Essential Skills
1.  University Degree of Bulk Material Handling Engineering and related specialty, with experience of bulk material handling. At least 10 years Petrochemical, Chemical or Coal- chemical complex design experience.
2.  Strong experience and technical background for coal preparation and pulverized coal preparation technology.  Familiar with design practices and cooperation between disciplines. 3.  Familiar with design practices and engineering deliverable at different stage of project. 
4.  Familiar with local and international Code and standard, regulations and implementation. 5.  Experience working with international client or engineering company is preferred.
6.  Previous design institute working experience especially the experience at Exxon, Shell, BP complex in China will be an advantage.
7.  Good responsibility, good teamwork spirit
8.  Good written and oral English, communication skill.
