Main Purpose of the Role and Key Responsibilities:  

• Conduct concept and research in areas related to service control and delivery:
• Follow the trends of academic/technical research in above areas, and identify the possibility of its application in NSN (Nokia Siemens Networks) business;
• Identify the gap between current or near future solutions/standards and the middle/long-term expectation as well as the business potentials for NSN in above areas;
• Identify the possible methods/solutions to fill the gap and the related challenges;
• Form the conception to fill the gap and verify the conception by either simulation or prototyping;
• Contribute to the product roadmap and create the vision of network evolution;
• Contribute to NSN IPR by submitting innovation disclosures and disseminate ideas by means of publications. 

Requirements:

• Master or Doctorate in Computer Engineering or Telecommunication Engineering;
• Have a strong technology background in areas related to service control and delivery:
  i) High level of competency includes but is not limited to: Network architectures, IMS, TISPAN, UMTS, LTE/SAE, WiMAX, service delivery platform, traffic management, policy control, traffic identification, packet inspection, identity & trust management, prototyping;
  ii) Familiar (at senior / research expert level) with technologies, issues and challenges in some / all of those areas;
  iii)Familiar with the current solutions and product in those areas;
  iv)Have the experience on the related product development or technology research;
• Good documentation skills in English;
