SUMMARY OF JOB:
1. Key areas of focus are to streamline and improve existing processes within the manufacturing organization, with specific focus on quality, cost and availability.
2. Ongoing focus areas for the role will include driving quality and continuous improvement activities, manufacturing / process support and improvement, cost reduction and efficiency improvements, in line with changing and evolving business needs. New Product Introduction will be an ongoing requirement of the role as needs arise.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and implement quality focused manufacturing processes, ensuring that product quality levels and goals can be achieved
- Troubleshoot quality and process issues to maximize performance and efficiencies, work with design and quality engineering to resolve issues
- Process engineering & development – Design, Simulation / Modeling and Build
- Work with cell continuous improvement teams to increase product and process quality
- Support and implement Lean Manufacturing, Just In Time and Kan-Ban systems
- Process auditing to guarantee compliance to all standards of quality, housekeeping and, health &safety
- Assist in driving, designing and implementing cell replenishment processes within the manufacturing cell and with vendors

EDUCATION – MINIMUN REQUIRED LEVEL:
- Engineering degree or equivalent

EXPERIENCE – MINIMUM REQUIRED:
- Minimum three years experience in similar role

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 1 – REQUIRED:
- Knowledge of / Experience in the area of Printed Circuit Board manufacturing or related manufacturing processes is preferred
- Electro-mechanical experience in Quality Focused manufacturing environment
- Experience of Engineering Change Order / Engineering Change Notification control process
- Demonstrated capability in the use of Problem Solving Tools
- Broad experience of Process Control techniques and associated tasks
- Experience using with Microsoft Office (word / excel) and an understanding of computer networks is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong Teamwork skills

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 2 – DESIRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:
- Excellent written and verbal English skill
- Excellent Resource Planning & Project Management skills
- Familiarity and commitment to concurrent engineering, ISO 9000, total quality management, and manufacturing operations
