Scope of Responsibility:

 

·        Assume responsibility of the assigned job from call out until equipment has returned to the station.

·        Review job procedures with the customer before and after the job, calculating volumes and completion of all necessary paperwork.

·        Maintain effective communication with internal and external customers.

·        Prepare status reports and job tickets.

·        Monitor instruments and gauges to assure proper flow, operation and cementing and stimulation conditions.

·        Perform other duties as assigned.

·        Ensure timely execution of orders, instructions and directions from Operations Manager.

·        Prepare Service Reports and memorandums on issues connected with department activities.

·        Strong understanding of fluid flow and rheological models to explain mud removal and displacement efficiency concepts.

·        Good understanding of BJ Services “Standards Practices” and “HSE” policies. Must be able to carry forward behavior based safety philosophy to region areas.

·        Will work closely with customers / BJ engineers to “problem solve” on technically challenging well conditions and job requirements.

·        Participate in technical society (SPE, API, AADE, etc.) functions, SPE study groups, social events, etc. 

·        Be willing to travel extensively at times to support technical challenges.

·        Should be able to conduct root cause analysis for all job failures and propose solutions.

·        Develop and maintain regular key client contacts and relationships throughout the area.

 

Requirements:

·        University/College degree preferred.

·        Cementing background requirements include:

Minimum of 3 years cementing experience is a must.

Some DW experience / knowledge is essential.

·        Experienced in diverse cementing engineering and operations

·        Strong technical and laboratory knowledge in BJ cementing liquid additives’ chemistry, mechanisms and interactions.

·        Liquid stone knowledge a plus

·        Must have quality field supervisory experience in the Cementing service line.

·        Must possess good training, organization and presentation skills, in addition to in-depth operational and technical knowledge pertaining to:

Cementing tools and equipment

Field calculations

Hydraulics

Pumping Software / data acquisition systems

·        Strong commitment to promotion of safe working systems and practices.

·        Must be computer literate.

·        Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·        Offshore experience is essential, with at least 3 years experience working on an offshore rig effectively carrying out cement jobs.

·        Must be proficient at figuring volumes and displacements.

·        Knowledge of the decimal book. Technical courses in aspects of oil well servicing helpful.

·        Familiarity with RAM unit (3305 monitor and ACC-2), LAS system.

·        Familiarity with BJ Top Drive Cement Head and Sub Sea mandrel.

·        Downhole Tools experience preferred be able to run tools as cement retainers (mechanical and electrical set).

·        Must be self-started leader who is capable of working with little supervision.

·        Must be comfortable working in a foreign language and cultural environment.
