Their clients include many global automotive leaders and they are now looking to expand their manufacturing operations in Beijing.

Job Description

–        The company is currently seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to focus on the manufacturing and supply quality of their high-pressure direct injection natural gas fuel system components. The primary functions of the position is:

–        To be actively involved with the design team, participate in design reviews, provide recommendations for revisions to product and material specifications and testing, and contribute your expertise in all areas of manufacturing.

–        Establish the systems required to quantify supplier quality improvement activities. These systems and reporting tools will provide data to aid in quality system certification.

–        Coach and lead suppliers in the development of quality systems and practices to support excellent supplier performance.

–        This role will also perform quality system, product and process audits at the supplier’s facilities, as required to maintain high levels of quality for incoming materials.

The Successful Applicant

–        The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least seven years experience with precision component/product manufacturing. You will have a strong background in the manufacture of mechanical automotive components, ideally fuel systems.

–        Demonstrated product/process quality knowledge to QS9000 or ISO/TS-16949 guidelines, including APQP and PPAP, is essential.

–        You must also have a strong ability to lead/coach suppliers in problem solving/root cause analysis and closure by effectively communicating within various levels of the organizations, both internal and external.

–        Occasional travel will be required to interface and maintain key relationships with production and other suppliers.
