· The primary responsibility will be design the optics for the high performance Lighting fixture
· Work closely with the systems manager to meet the market demanding on the efficiency and new Code board requirement
· Have enough knowledge, experience and capability to be able coaching and teaching the fixture engineers.
· Work with JV in Japan to cooperate on the optics coating technology
· Work with suppliers to transfer the design to the manufacturing process ; apply Six Sigma tools to get the tolerance control of all key parameters.

Qualifications/Requirements

· Fluent in English, verbal and written
· Able to use Pro-E for mechanical design
· Able to use at least one of following software for optical design; TracePro, Photopia, OptiWorks ASAP
· Six Sigma GB certification is required
· MS degree in engineering or related science
· Minimum 5 years experience in optics technology
· Strong communication skills with global, cross-functional teams
· PC proficiency
· Demonstrated leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
· Must be a highly motivated team player with the ability to balance and manage multiple priorities
· Demonstrated ability to interact with cross-functional, global teams and vendors
       to meet quality, schedule and budget.

Desired Requirements:

· Six Sigma Black Belt certification is preferred
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills
· Ability to work independently.
· MS degree in Optics
