JOB DESCRIPTION:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with research scientists from multidisciplinary teams on programs
- Analyze existing problems from material science point of view and translate the solutions to material needs
- Set strategy to meet the materials needs by screen, synthesis, functionalization, processing and testing for various applications including Water Treatment, Healthcare, Energy, Appliance, Electronics
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
- PhD/MS with research experiences in Organic/Polymer Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry or Material Science and Engineering
- Strong background in synthesis, processing, functionalization and applications
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills to contribute as part of a cross-functional development team
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Excellent problem solving skills - ability to consider overall problem, identify opportunities and implement major changes
- Self-starter, independent thinker, proactive problem solver
- Motivated by quality, cost and speed
- High energy with passion for excellence
- Demonstrated ability to set and achieve aggressive goals and targets

- Fluent oral and written communication in English
DESIRED:
- Previous industrial R&D experiences preferred
