JOB DESCRIPTION:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with research scientists from multidisciplinary teams on programs
- Use electrochemistry as an enabling technology to develop new technologies in various applications, e.g. energy, healthcare and public infrastructures
- Main duties include material preparation and characterization, device fabrication and process development
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
- PhD/MS with research experiences in
1. Electrochemistry, related to energy storage, separation processes, corrosions & sensing, etc. 2. Chemical Engineering (process/device development, water & processes, alternative energy, etc.) - Strong background in electrochemistry/electrochemical engineering; experiences in process/device development, materials preparation and functionalization (polymeric or hybrid materials)
- Ability to correlate chemical and physical properties of materials to applications
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills to contribute as part of a cross-functional development team
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Excellent problem solving skills - ability to consider overall problem, identify opportunities and implement major changes
- Self-starter, independent thinker, proactive problem solver
- Motivated by quality, cost and speed
- High energy with passion for excellence
- Demonstrated ability to set and achieve aggressive goals and targets
- Embrace change and technology evolution as an opportunity
- Strong environmental, health and safety ethics
- Fluent oral and written communication in English
