osition Summary:  Perform routine production support engineering work, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria in supporting processes and/or systems.  Assignments have a clear and specified objective.  Under direct supervision, conduct analysis to develop options or recommendations for processes, systems and components.  Apply basic disciplined engineering techniques to solve technical problems.    Additionally, this individual has attained some knowledge regarding standard technical issues and has the ability to prepare and summarize this information effectively. Support and assist lead engineers with the preparation of cost estimates and specifications.  Involved in a team setting to assist in achieving results.

Key Responsibilities:

§          Assist in the implementation, validation and support of new and existing processes.

§          Interpret product requirements; support and develop processes through utilization of the basic process control methodologies.

§          Provide analytical problem solving and process troubleshooting to identify root causes and eliminate problems.

§          Responsible for Project Engineering to Site engineering hand-off of process development and improvement projects.  Ensure these projects are successfully adopted and incorporated into the value stream.

§          Contribute to analysis of costs, capacity, equipment, and productivity improvements.

§          Ensure accurate manufacturing documentation and product costing.

§          Formally report on monthly progress.

Position Requirements:

Education: A BS degree in a technical field is required.

Experience: Entry-level developmental position.

Skills: Detail-oriented, good oral and written communication skills. Basic understanding of computer and typical office software.  Must demonstrate abilities to develop Engineering competencies.
