AIM OF THE POSITION   
Why does the position exists or has been created?  With what objectives?                              
Development of Chinese market mainly for procurement of Capital Equipment (may include other families such as MRO) through sourcing and purchasing activities 
This person should have the ability to search, and evaluate new suppliers, understand what capabilities can be used by TS / TX, to develop the relationship with the supplier,
 and (very important) to have enough technical understanding to enable it to monitor projects even solve technical team with the end user.    
In the Chinese market, it is important to understand the supply of the equipments we buy: electric, hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders, brakes, automation, bearings,   
couplings, gearboxes and motors, etc.)                
      
JOB DESCRIPTION
                 
Main accountabilities:                
Carry out the procurement process, mainly in Capex: supporting users in the requirement fulfillment, develop new & old suppliers, selecting vendors and performing    
auctions, negotiating bestconditions, leveraging frame agreements, developing internal/external networks, increasing service level to users and complying with the    
normative system                      
A more technical aspect of this position involves leading the expediting and follow up shop in China, visiting suppliers, according to manufacturing plans , applying quality control (either the supplier or other third specialized party such as Bureau Veritas, etc.), and ensuring compliance with production schedules in both time and quality, and coordinate logistics (usually hires centrally but should be able to support the operational, including nomination of vessels, container movement). Eventually have to negotiate with suppliers contracts related issues (eg packaging equipment, or the price changes of specifications, etc.) either directly or by supporting the original purchaser. It is very important to prepare and send reports of activity, and achieve a professional relationship with buyers and users
