AcceleratiON is the BMW Group’s international graduate programme offering the opportunity to jumpstart the career of talented graduates and young professionals. Through completing four different assignments, participants work in various parts of the BMW Group including BMW headquarters in Munich and another international BMW market. During their assignments, participants gain insights into business processes, strategy, culture, and the BMW Group brands from both a local and global perspective.
Establishing an excellent international network while working on strategic and operational projects in three different countries, the programme provides a solid basis for a successful international career at the BMW Group.
What awaits you?
-6 months project in home country and home department - China Finance Controlling Team:
Be responsible for Headcount and Personnel cost plan in FCI/FCII/YEP/BU ; 2) Be responsible for monthly closing and cross reconciliation with central colleagues; 3) support preparation on monthly joint Headcount review Board NSC/BBA; 4) Cost center control.
-3 months placement in Head Quarter (AG):
Recommended to experience in the central FC department to better understand the controlling steering principle in BMW Group and / or other central functions such as CS department to better understand the BMW volume, product performance."
-6 months project in home country (2nd major field) - Sales or product Team to access to the key business functions to have the complete view from both business and finance controlling side.
-3 months to the 3rd country: e.g. European countries or US mainly on SF function, to get a insights, learnings and knowledge on how other markets operate the SF business, in order to have the comparison between NSC vs.SF business and understand the joint interest/benefits of the company.
-Other projects and tasks assigned by line manager, e.g. support on other CoW topics, intensive interaction with departments who has Jorbcard application proposal, prepare briefing to top management before the circle, proper follo up , ac-hoc tasks.
Qualifications and experience
-Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with excellent grades (Master’s degree preferred)
Preference in Marketing, Economics or Business and maybe if suitable candidates as well with Automotive knowledge
-Business-fluent language skills in the local language
-Fluent English (as well as knowledge of another language if English is the native language)
-Sensitive for numbers, highly committed, with integrity and balanced view
-Passion for Finance and knowledge on automotive market
-Initiative, personal accountability, team spirit, and self reflection
-Readiness for an international career
-Strong organizational and project leadership skills
-Highly self-motivated and structured problem solving abilities are essential attributes as is the ability to priorities high levels of workload.
-Confident and competent presentation and communication skills
-At least six months of relevant work experience (e.g. internships, training, initial professional experience)
-A maximum of 3 years professional working experience. Fresh graduate is also acceptable if he/she is outstanding.
-At least four months of relevant experience abroad (e.g. studies, practical experience, work )
-Extracurricular involvement (e.g. initial leadership experience in a university, community, or work setting, engagement in a student project, political or charity organization)
